Who we are :
We are a small group of Methodist volunteers recognised and appointed by the Methodist Church of Southern Africa at the 2013 Synod. This mission outreach is known as ‘Economic Empowerment’.
Our mission statement :
“The purpose of our group is to facilitate access by people to skills and resources that will make it possible for them to improve their economic situation and that of the people connected to them.”
Our strategy :
We seek to facilitate this access by equipping ourselves to be a contact point and connector for Circuits and local Societies in our district that want to explore ways of becoming involved in projects for economic empowerment.
Progress so far :
We have been a catalyst in the creation of a skills development centre. This centre is under the ownership of the Victoria Road and Heathfield circuits.
If you are currently involved in a poverty-alleviation program, or want to establish one in your Circuit or Society, we would love to hear from you. Please contact us.
How to connect with us :
